The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum and the Alex Xydias Center for
Automotive Arts at Fairplex (AXC) is holding a 90^th Birthday Party for Alex on
June 16, 2012 at the Sheraton Fairplex Conference Center in Pomona, California.
Pit pass is one dollar for each birthday (Alex will be 90 so the pass is $90).
The proceeds will go to support the museum and the youth center that has
been set up by L. A. County Fairplex to train the next generation of racing

Hila Sweet notified me that the California Racers Reunion (CRR) has been cancelled by the Riverside International Automotive Museum (RIAM). The event had been scheduled for April 13, 2013. I contacted Norma Jordan, the events coordinator at the museum and she confirmed the cancellation and said that it will not be rescheduled. Norma has left her position at the RIAM at this time. Hila is trying to contact those who have said they were coming to let them know. There has been no decision made as to whether another CRR will be held, but if I hear any news I will let you know. Most of the information on this page is sort of a history lesson in what
happens when a novice puts up a lot of information and continues
adding as it comes in - hard to take down what someone has written
and added to the site. Enjoy history..

Information on the Salt.
Last Sunday (27 May) The SCTA pre trip team arrived in Wendover.
The salt was dry, hard and smooth and they laid out the 4 courses
we had last year in the same location. We drug all 4 courses with
#1 course 9 miles in length, #2 course 8 miles long,
#3 short course at 4 3/4 mile and the #4 (rookie) course is 3 1/2 miles.
If the weather holds we are looking at some really
good salt with plenty of traction for some great racing records are going to fall.
